Many of you know today is the 2 year anniversary of Kirk’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Taylor, Kirk’s mom and dad and family and the many friends he has. Since Taylor and Kirk lived in Hawaii, we, Taylor’s family, did not have an opportunity to get to know him as you did, but learned very quickly what an amazing man and friend he is to all. He is missed! Thank you for your continued support of Taylor, much Love to you all from The Moyes
Because of Him
COMPANION:I can’t tell you how stoked I am about my companion, Sister Kahoalii, who has quickly become such a great friend! We feel right at home on the islands of Hawaii as we talk about the waves, our mutual friends, shave ice and da ono grindz. Haha one elder was like “Are you two even going to work this transfer?” Of course we will! #WorkHard #PlayHard(while working). Ah life is great, God is real.
INSPIRATIONAL: “Just as learning an instrument or a language is a process, learning the language of the spirit is also a process” Sister Linda K. Burton
SPIRITUAL: I have been on quite a journey! My life has always been an adventure and mainly because I have made it that way. It doesn’t mean my life has been easy but it means I always have a choice and I choose to be happy and trust my Savior in the midst of my trials. I have felt overwhelming moments of joy and depths of pain I never knew existed. But in those depths, I was also consumed by the undeniable love the Savior has for me that extends beyond my mortal comprehension. I was not with the Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane as He suffered every unimaginable pain and affliction, but He’s been with me as I’ve suffered mine. I did not walk the streets of Jerusalem with Him as He taught the people but I know He walks with me, teaching and guiding me, everyday. I did not see Him heal the blind of help the lame to walk. But I see His miracles in my life as He helps me change my nature, face my trials, and move forward in faith. I love my Savior and all He has done for me. The truth is, we all need the Savior in our lives and the power of His infinite Atonement is available to each of us, not just when we sin, but when we make mistakes we cannot fix, experience losses we cannot recover and face pains, persecution, tragedies, burdens and disappointments we cannot handle alone. Because of Him, we don’t have to handle it alone. The past few years, I have developed and continue to develop a personal and intimate relationship with my Savior, one I didn’t know was possible in this life. I love my Savior and that love goes beyond what I can describe with words. My invitation to you is to seek that relationship with Him. Once we understand everything the Savior has done for us, He will become the most important person in our lives.
I love my mission. I love my Savior. And I love all of you! Thank you for you support, letters and emails!
