Kamusta kamo tanan! Kwan, Kapoy ako adlaw tungod kay pinaka dugon sa mga adlaw pero gihigugma siya nako. Pinaka nindot siya!
(Hows it going you guys! Man, Im so tired everyday cause the days are so long but I love what I am doing. It’s so special!)
MISC: This week has been my favorite so far. Not because it was my birthday, although of course, I had a great one! My zone made it pretty special for me. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes, surf pics and updates. Interesting situation with Mick Fanning and the shark. Today is also my one month mark that I’ve been on my mission! Also got our travel info for when we head out to the PHI in two weeks. Direct flight SLC to Tokyo and then Manila. We’ll be in Manila for about a week before we head to Cebu.
Funny story(s): 1. (Long story short) This past week I’ve become personally acquainted with the MTC President, President Burgess and his wife. They found a particular interest in me and wanted to get to know me better. So one day, they pulled me out of class to talk more and after, my teacher said his first thought was that he was in trouble because after working there for two years, that was the first time the MTC President has ever come to his classroom. President Burgess also gave me a blessing which was really special and then yesterday for my birthday, Sister Burgess knew it was my birthday and personally dropped off a birthday card. They are wonderful people. 2. I’m older than all of my teachers by a year or two. 3. My companion Sister Hagedorn used to work at the MTC dining so she knows all of the staff. She asked one of her friends if he could sneak in Chik-fil-a for my birthday dinner which he did. It was awesome!! 4. My district leader is 18 going on 12.
Companions (Kauban pronouced: Ka-u-bahn): Sister Huxtable has the worst luck haha. She woke up one morning and half her face was swollen. Went to the Health Center and they had to give her a “peanut butter” shot in her lower back. We then had to go off MTC campus across the street to get a prescription. It was nice to break free for a little while. I felt I could finally breathe!
Spiritual: I know there is nothing more important that what I am doing now for the next 17 months. I know I could not become the person I want to be without my mission. I went to the temple with the question of “How can my trust in the Lord increase?” And by the end of the session, I received the answer that “It’s not how my trust in the Lord increase, but how can the Lord increase His trust in me?” I know I will not regret giving my whole heart to my mission and that’s exactly what I plan to do!
Inspirational: 1. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. 2. It’s not a testimony without the TEST. 3. Always be the best version of yourself, even if no one else knows who that person is.
Gihigugma kamo nako! (Love you all!)
